1. I have very high mileage on my engine. Do I rebuild the engine or install a new/used one?
Rebuild ! You are already familiar with your engine. Rebuilding your engine with quality workmanship will not only give you an a like-new engine, it will also save you a bundle on buying a new engine (or worse yet, installing a used engine from a different vehicle about which you know nothing about).
2. When you rebuild, will you keep the main parts of my engine?
Yes, but be warned. Rest assured we will always strive to keep your cost to a minimum, but we will never cut corners when it comes to quality or integrity!
3. How do you determine what distributor and/or carburator to use?
The distributor is a big issue because you want the distributor and carburator to both match the engine in the RPM range for your specific engine. This is one of the hallmarks of our quality workmanship.
4. After I have my engine rebuilt, are there any special procedures to break it in?
We will give you a printed list with break-in instructions for your rebuilt engine.
5. Will you ever recommend that I exchange engines?
In the event that it is not technically feasible to rebuild an engine, we will recommend an exchange engine for the purpose at hand.
